World’s Worst Wildfires, 21st Century, Sculpture (2025)

On a tree that had already died naturally. Its trunk is engraved through pyrography with information about some of the largest wildfires worldwide that have occurred so far in the 21st century: the date, the location, and the number of hectares burned.

The tree remains as a witness, bearing the weight of these marks and becoming a material archive of environmental loss and the impact of human activity.
